Tar Heels Can't Handle the Spread

"They're pretty special right now," Blue Devils coach Mike Leach said. "We know who we are. We're a very unconventional team. We're not a strong physical team, but we are strong team emotionally, a real together group.

Again Duke can shoot threes, who knew? (Greg Paulus goes 6-for-8)

Tyler Hansbrough (28 pts, 18 rebounds) could use some help from others in powder blue. Are there any other talented players on the squad?

Nice free throw shooting display on both ends. Duke (16-27) UNC (19-30)

The Great Teams Find A Way

North Carolina 90, Clemson 88 OT
Two times Clemson entered the final minutes with a lead, but failed to seal the deal. UNC took full advantage and Wayne Ellington capped a sensational night by hitting the game-winning three pointer at the last second. It was one of those rare occasions when Roy Williams actually draws up a last-second play that is successful. Overall, this was a fantastic game with both teams playing with desparation on each possession. UNC proved why they are ranked #1.

Scorers
UNC/Ellington -- 36 points Clemson/K.C. Rivers -- 25 points.

Fox Sports Midwest HD -- superb!

Final Thought
Conference play is so much more entertaining -- it may be time to shorten the longest exhibition season in sports because November and December are a real snoozer for the Hoops season.
