KC radio hosts awarded Michael Beasley national player of the year honors during the afternoon. Can't understand why the ACC doesn't take the Big 12 seriously. Whisper, national titles.
"I could put up 50 tonight. I'm serious."

There were a lot of long hairs on the court last night. It made for a very flowy game to watch.
Bill Walker gets hit in the ding ding.
Bill Walker slams ball after a made shot? Bill Walker gets technical.
Frank Martin does crazy juggling impression.
Nebraska wins 71-64. Fans storm the court.
KSU loses three in a row on the road.

Just A Basketball School Now
Nebraska knocks off #16 Oregon 88-79 in overtime and now stands at 8-2. They've got losses at Creighton and Western Kentucky. The Big 12 better have this team on the radar.
Meanwhile, Arizona State pounds #17 Xavier 77-55.
"It was ASU's first home victory over a ranked nonconference opponent since
Dec. 20, 1980, when the Sun Devils defeated No. 7 Ohio State."

Really? That's insane.
Other notes ... at 5-3 Louisville can say goodbye to the Top 25 for a while (67-59 loss to Purdue) ... Baylor scored 100 yesterday against Wayland Baptist? The Bears are 7-1 ... The Shockers might be missing Mark Turgeon. Yesterday they lost to UMKC 59-56 after holding a 13-point lead early in the second half. Wichita State is now 5-4 ... my tickets fell through for the KU game, but the Hawks are doing all right.
